WESTVILLE — Jimmye Carter West, 92, died January 27, 2010 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen. Services are today at 2 p. m. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with Minister Marshall Eubanks Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery. Visitation is today from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home. She was born Sept. 1, 1917, to Guy Carter and Lillie Moore Carter in Greenwood Springs. She was a lifelong resident of Monroe County where she was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress at TIL in Aberdeen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Laverne Arrant. She is survived by her daughter, Carroll Kornrumpf, of Knoxville, Tenn.; sister, Doris Simineau, of Port Orchard, Wash.; two grandsons and one great-grandson. Pallbearer are Allen Boyd, Jerry Umfress, Norman Simineau, Wayne West, Ferrell Williams and Lee Griffin.
