GATTMAN — Jeanette Howard Sorrells, 81, died Dec. 26, 2022, at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Otts Funeral Home, with Edward Puckett officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent, Alabama, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sorrells was born Dec. 14, 1941, in Lamar County, Alabama, to the late Palmer Howard and Argie Hollis Howard. She was formerly employed with Glenn Enterprises and Allen White Furniture.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Sorrells; son, Ronnie Sorrells; brothers, Raymond Melvin Howard, Flex Howard, Arvil Howard, Wayne Howard and Monroe Howard; and sisters, Johnnie Lee Vison, Christine Evans, Janice Howard, Faye Watts, Jeanary Brown and Ruby Fowler.
She is survived by her son, Terry Sorrells of Gattman; brothers, Hollis Howard of Sulligent and Palmer Howard Jr. of Fulton; sisters, Olene Dohleman of Pontiac, Illinois, and Mary Jane Sadeno of Moline, Illinois; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gary Sorrells, Char Sorrells, Alex Sorrells and Matthew Sorrells.
