ABERDEEN — Jean Pounds Harrington, 79, died March 22, 2009, at his residence. Services are Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Aberdeen with Bro. Roy McKay and Bro. John Maxey officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Visitation is today from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Harrington was born June 18, 1929, in Houston to the late Luther Vinson Harrington and Clara Wilma Pounds Harrington. He lived in Monroe County for the past 33 years. He was owner and heavy equipment operator of Harrington Construction. He was a member of Aberdeen First Baptist Church, and he was a Mason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Annie Burnett, Mary Chaffee and Jenny Rodgers; and brothers, Hillman and George W. Harrington. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Walker Harrington of Aberdeen; daughter, Debbie Jean Dilworth of Columbus; son, Jean Walker Harrington of Hamilton; sisters, Intha Duennes of Bradenton, Fla., Lutie Black of Columbus and Jeanette Doss of Houston; brother, Don Harrington of Houston; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ryan and Hank Harrington, Scott Doss, Harry Black, Chester Patterson, Tim Little, Stan Black and Ben Burnett.
