CARROLLTON, Ala., – James Luther Pate, Jr., 57, died July 24, 2012, at Greene County Hospital in Eutaw, AL. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Ezelle officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Mr. Pate was born September 4, 1954, in Alabama and was retired employee of Girtsy Gasket Company of LaGrange. GA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel M. Pate; father, James Luther Pate, Sr.; sisters, Donna Pate and Hazel Pate Bush. Survivors include his mother, Ann Pate of Aliceville, AL.; daughters, Eva Weeks, Jennifer Goodson and Roberta Weeks, all of Columbus, MS and Ashley L. Martin of Carrollton, AL; brothers, John Pate and Joseph Pate, both of Pickensville, AL; sister, Mary Bowen of Missouri; and 17 grandchildren.
