WEST POINT — James Elliot McLemore, 83, died Dec. 9, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Brandon Bates officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Robinson Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Mr. McLemore was born Aug. 22, 1934, in Cedar Bluff to the late Arlin Peeples and James A. McLemore. He was formerly employed as a pipe fitter at B&W for 33 years and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Douglas. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara McLemore of West Point; four daughters, Cheryl Kittle of Dickinson, Texas, Donna Davis of Jackson, Alabama, Jan Little of Corinth and Gail McLemore of West Point; sixteen grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
