James A. Keen, 92, died Feb. 23, 2009. Services are Thursday at 10 a.m. at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home in Vicksburg with the Rev. Rusty Keen officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation is today from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Keen graduated from Jett High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II and having obtained the rank of captain. He was a retired foreman for Bethel Corp. and a charter member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James U. and Essie Roberts; wife, Ina Sue Wilson Keen; and four brothers. He is survived by his sons, David Keen of Redwood and Jim Keen of Columbus; sister, Betty Jewel Hill of Meadville; brother, Hilton Keen of Hot Springs, Ark.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Charles Hintson, Chuck Schneider, Larry Burroughs, Clarence Whitaker, Edward McKnight and Harry Martin III.
