WEST POINT — James Ivy Johnson Sr., 77, died Sept. 11, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Grove MB Church with the Rev. Robert Shamblin-Traylor officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-6 p.m. today at Carter’s Mortuary Service Chapel. Mr. Johnson was born Dec. 20, 1939, to the late Fannie Bell Wilson. He was employed as a machine operator at Bryan Foods. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Johnson of West Point; son, James I. Johnson Jr. of West Point; daughters, Minnie Pearl Quinn and Bobbie Jean Peoples, both of West Point; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
