WEST POINT — James “Bud” Hurst, 64, died Sept. 12, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Services are Saturday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. James Towery officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church. Calvert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hurst was born March 10, 1948, to Lena Willhite Hurst of West Point and the late Grover Cleveland Hurst. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Mary C. Hurst of West Point; daughters, Angela Stanley Saylors of Columbus and Debbie Stanley Bensend of West Point; brothers, Joe Hurst of West Point and Charles Hurst of Mullins, S.C.; sisters, Ann Hurst Cummings of West Point and Kay Hurst Nordyke of Cleveland, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.
