James Robert Godfrey, 77, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Godfrey; son, Rodney (Tammy) Godfrey of Columbus; daughter, Tonya (Joshua) Slaughter of Florence, MS; grandchildren, Abigail Moak and Brayden Slaughter; brother, Joe (Elizabeth) Godfrey of Caledonia; and sister, Jackie (Warren) Shepherd of Columbus.
