BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — James “Larry” Elmore, 73, died Jan. 17, 2019, at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Elmore and Jackie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Skelton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Elmore was born Jan. 27, 1945, in Kennedy, Alabama, to the late James Henry “Buster” Elmore and Annie Lou Mitchell Elmore. He was formerly employed as a finance manager in the automobile industry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Syble Ware Elmore; and siblings, Andy Elmore, Mary Rose Duncan, Margie Fields, Brenda Coleman, Beechel Tipton, Patricia Brown and Betty Gray. He is survived by his daughters, Samantha Elmore Reichle and Paige Ruffin Wright of Atlanta, Georgia; stepchildren, Tim Peterson, William “Beaver” Peterson and Lisa Marla; brothers, Jerry Elmore, Johnny Elmore and Danny Elmore; six grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be John Caleb Reichle, Samuel Reichle, Pierce Reichle, Luke Wright, Austin Peterson and Andrew Marler. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
