SUMITON, Ala. — James Angus, 89, died at his daughter’s residence. Services were Sept. 10, 2012, at Otts Funeral Home with Edward Puckett officiating. Burial followed in Crews Cemetery. Mr. Angus was born May. 13, 1923, in Wales Station, Tenn., to the late James Wilson and Rennie Lee Angus. He was formerly employed with Aero in Lake City, Fla., and was a member of Lake City Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda B. Otts; brother, Charles Wilson Angus; sister, Norice Jean Black; and two siblings that died before or at birth. Survivors include his daughters, JoAnn Stringfellow of Sumiton, Carolyn Whitehead and Margaret Irvin, both o Detroit, Ala.; siblings, Robert Angus of Rogersville, Ala., Louise Angus Overstreet of Mt. Pleasant, Tenn., Marie Angus Tarpley of Pulaski, Tenn., Bryant Angus of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Frank Angus of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Missy Angus Reeves of Oxford, Ala., Nancy Angus Wright of Pulaski, Tenn., and Judy Angus Locke of Lynnville, Tenn.
