NETTLETON — Jack William Berryman, 89, died March 21, 2009, at North Mississippi Medical Center–Tupelo. Services were today at 11 a.m. at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Lloyd Minor officiating. Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery. Mr. Berryman was born Oct. 25, 1919, in Itawamba County to the late John William and Virdell Smith Berryman. He lived in Ocala, Fla., and in the Nettleton area for 11 years. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Ohio Operating Engineers before his retirement. He was a member of the Church of God and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Alice Patingale Berryman; and sisters, Alta Attaway and Gladis Hester. He is survived by his sister, Alma Cox of Nettleton. Pallbearers will be Corey Merrell, Thomas Clark, Wesley Francis, Wally Combs, Terry Holland, Brent Cary, and Wade, Tyler and Randy Minor.
