CRAWFORD — Hill Love Sr., 88, died Feb. 22, 2009, at Aurora Nursing Home in Columbus. Services are Saturday at noon at St. James MB Church in Crawford with the Rev. Fredrick Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is today from 3-8 p.m. and the family will greet guests from 6-7 p.m. at Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus. Mr. Love was born May 25, 1920, in Crawford to the late Eligah and Josephine Brooks Love. He worked for Lowndes County Road Department for many years. He was a member of St. James MB Church, where he served as a deacon, an usher and Sunday school superintendent. He was a insurance agent for Carter’s Funeral Services. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, Margie Lawrence Love of Crawford; sons, John Love of Crawford and Hill Love Jr. of Saint Ann, Ill.; daughters, Margie Williams of Columbus and Pearlie Yearby of Rutledge, Ga.; sisters, Susie Triplett of Birmingham, Ala., and Annie Love Williams of Kankakee, Ill.; brother, Albert Love of Kankakee; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Cedric Jamison, Elbert Young Jr., Sammie Speight, Henry Earl Mayfield, and Demarcus and Robert J. Sharp. Memorials may be made to Moog Center for Deaf Education, 12300 S.
