COLUMBUS – Henry Summerville Jr., 81, died Jan. 22, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Memorial Gardens, with Casey Bush officiating. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Summerville was born Dec. 4, 1939, in Columbus, to the late Henry Summerville Sr. and Armatha Jones Summerville. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Summerville; children, Diane Thomas, Lisa Sampson, Denise Strong, Gerry Summerville, Anthony Summerville and Chandra Lanford all of Columbus; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
