VERNON, Ala. — Henry Mack Hood Sr., 64, died April 21, 2023, at Fayette Medical Center — Fayette, Alabama.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Otts Funeral Home Chapel, with Jammie Turner and Brian Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Otts Funeral Home Parlor. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hood was born on Feb. 23, 1959, in Lamar County, to the late Harold Mack Hood and Lunelle Allen Hood. He attended Lamar County High School. He was a former logger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mabel Frost, Maxine Franks, Ann Woolbright and Diane Brock.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Hood of Vernon; children, Henry Mack Hood Jr. of Sulligent, Mack Hood of Vernon and Holly Reese of Prairie; sister, Jackie Trentham of Sulligent; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Faucett, Austin Henderson, Kevin Palmer, Terrell Pennington, John Robertson and Michael Dodd.
