Grafton Wayne Junkins, 69, of Columbus, MS, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation was held Tuesday, March 31, 2009, from 10 – 11 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A memorial service was held Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at 11 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS, with Bro. Alan Burchfield officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Junkins was born November 8, 1939, in Pickens County, AL, to the late Lando and Trilla Hughes Junkins and was a resident of Columbus for the past thirty-eight years having moved from Pickens County, AL. Mr. Junkins was a retired salesman for M & W Butane and a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and especially making birdhouses. Mr. Junkins is survived by his daughters – Patricia (Rick) Bryant, West Palm Beach, FL, Lisa (Keith) Burchfield, Columbus, MS; grandchildren – Alan Burchfield, Ashley Cleveland, Abby Burchfield, Ashley Elinburg, Steven Bryant, Joey Bryant, Justin Bryant, Christie Bryant and great-grandchild – Wesley Burchfield.
