COLUMBUS — Gloria McDavid, 60, died March 25, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Goiden Triangle. Services will be at 1 p.m. Satruday at Cannan M.B. Church with the Rev. Jimmy Pounds officiating. Visitation is from 1-6 p.m. Friday at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. McDavid was born NOv. 20, 1958, to the late Derwood and Willie Ruth Hughes. She was a graduate of Caldwell high School and attended Golden Triangle East Mississippi Community College and Mississippi University for Women. She was formerly employed as a nurse assistant. She was a member of Cannan M.B. Church. She is survived by her children, Timothy L. Hughes, Roderick Dean McDavid and Allyson L. Price; sisters, Delois Jethrow, Theresa BraJona, Debora Gail Hughfes and Petina Mariea Hughes; brothers, Derwood Hughes and Michael Hughes; and seven grandchildren.
