COLUMBUS — Geneva Glyn ‘Jonsey’ Gray, 103, died Jan. 22, 2010, at Trinity Place. Services were Sunday at 3 p.m. at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with Ronald McDougald and Mr. Philip Hathcock officiating. Burial followed in the Masonic Cemetery in Amory. Mrs. Gray was born Nov. 1, 1906, in Mississippi to the late Lena Mundy Fears. She was an LPN at Gilmore Memorial Hospital from 1947 until 1973. She worked at Prairie Ordnance during World War II. She attended St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church and Amory Church of Christ. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Leonard and Robert Glen Gray; son, Frank L. Jones; brothers, Norval, Ira and Ruble Fears and sister, Lillian Mann Duke. She is survived by her son, Eliot Jones, of Riverside, Calif.; brother, Charles Reed Fears, of Amory; sister, Virginia Keys, of Charlotte N.C.; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Staff of Trinity Personal Care and Trinity Healthcare Staff. Memorials may be made to Trinity Healthcare, 230 Airline Road, Columbus MS 39702, or a charity of your choice.
