COLUMBUS — Gary Morris, 63, died April 17, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at West Lowndes High School, with Craig Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Brick M.B. Church cemetery. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. today, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Morris was born Dec. 3, 1958, in Columbus, to the late Arthur Will Morris Sr. and Lizzie Morris. He was formerly employed as a glazer with Shaw Glass and was a member of Providence M.B. Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Morris, Caroline Morris and Pamela Calmese.
He is survived by his fiancé, Dorothy Jones; sons, Tarence Morris and LaShaun Johnson; sisters, Sheila Morris-Lang, Shirley Williams, Twila Richey Parker and Janet Morris; brother, Arthur Morris Jr.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Harris, Jack Whitfield, Larry Webber, Darnell McBride, Fred Harris and Gary Shaw.
