ETHELSVILLE, Ala. — Frances H. McDill, 79, died July 4, 2019, at her residence. Services are at 2 p.m. today at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. George Shaw and the Rev. Max Bobbitt officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Millport. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Dowdle Funeral Home of Millport is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. McDill was born March 13, 1940, in the Pine Grove Community of Pickens County, to the late Earl and Bertha Harcrow. She was a 1959 graduate of Liberty High School and was formerly employed as a secretary with the Pickens County Board of Education. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings. She is survived by her sons, Tim McDill and Jerry McDill, both of Ethelsville; brother, Bobby Harcrow of Columbus; and one grandchild. Pallbearers will be Sean Harper, Mike Gore, Jared Gray, Jackson McCool, Justin Abrams, Jordy Abrams, Nathan West and David Lowery.
