Florence Fay Lusby Rollins, 88, of Columbus, MS passed away December 27, 2013, at her residence. Visitation was Sunday, December 29, 2013, from 2–3 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services were Sunday, December 29, 2013, at 3:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Brown officiating. Interment was in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Rollins was born June 9, 1925, in Monroe County, MS to the late Turner and Erin Williams Lusby. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Columbus, MS and Fidelis Sunday School Class. Mrs. Rollins loved the Lord, her church and her family. She enjoyed being around her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Rollins was an avid Atlanta Braves and Mississippi State fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Rollins; sisters, Truman LaVoie, Ruby McCandless and Mable Bonds; and brothers, James Walker Lusby and Robert Lusby. Mrs. Rollins is survived by her daughters, Jane (Jimmy) Ruffin, Columbus, MS and Debra (Hampton) Hyder, Pelham, AL; sons, Dick (Kathy) Rollins, Columbus, MS, Billy (Susan) Rollins, Columbus, MS and Tommy Rollins, Columbus, MS; twin brother, Floyd “Cotton” (Alice) Lusby, Aberdeen, MS; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Brad Rollins, Todd Rollins, Brian Rollins, Jason Ruffin, Erik Ruffin, T.C. Rollins and John Michael Rollins. Honorary pallbearers were Nell Brown, Fidelis Sunday School Class and Calvary Baptist Church Family.
