PRAIRIE — Esau McMillian Sr., 85, died Dec. 25, 2018, at his residence. Services will be at noon Monday at Lake Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. Timothy Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Noland Cemetery. Visitation is from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel in West Point. Carter’s Mortuary Services is in charge of arrangements. Mr. McMillian was born March 7, 1953, in Mississippi, to the late Henry and Ida McMillian. He was formerly employed as a manufacturer worker with Rose Hill Co. He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae McMillian; children, Esau McMillian of St. Paul, Minnesota, James McMillian, Marie McMillian, Jon Cecil McMillian and LaKisha Ivy, all of Prairie, Vincent McMillian of Okolona, Rhonda Thompson of Shannon, Lonzo McMillian, Virginia Tallie and Glenda Lenoir, all of West Point; sisters, Zellar Gladney of Prairie and Sara Frances Watson of Mark Tree, Arkansas; 24 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
