MACON — Elliot Bruce Haggard, 76, died May 26, 2009, at North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point. Services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at Mashulaville Baptist Church near Macon with Elder David Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery near Louisville. Visitation is Thursday from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Haggard was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Ellison Ridge Community of Winston County to the late Marguerite Latimer Haggard and Walter Ernest Haggard. He was a fitter at Babcock & Wilcox Co. in West Point for 38 years and was a member of Mashulaville Baptist Church near Macon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Darrell and Robert Ernest Haggard. He is survived by his wife, Dale Felker Haggard of Macon; daughters, Angela K. Daniel of Fayetteville, Ga., Anne Richardson of Macon and Della Wilson of Cedar Bluff; sons, Elliot Bruce Haggard Jr. of Mobile, Ala., Aubrey Blair of Cedar Bluff, and Allen Blair of Petal; sisters, Hazel Shows of Brandon, Evelle H. Bethany of Birmingham, Ala., and Eileen Flowers of Bull Shoals, Ark.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; Pallbearers will be Brandon Blair, Chris Richardson, Justin Hairston, William Wilson, Jason McIlwain and Patrick Haggard.
