SULLIGENT — Earnestine Sandlin, 63, died June 23, 2009, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Services are Friday at 2 p.m. at Sulligent First Assembly of God and the body will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Visitation is today at 6 p.m. at the Otts Funeral Home in Sulligent, Ala. Burial will follow in the Sulligent City Cemetery, with Bro. Danny Hollis, Bro. Mark Dean and Bro. Jerry Oakes officiating. Mrs. Sandlin was born on July 2, 1945, in Lamar County, Ala. to the late Leroy and Gladys Humbers Herron. She was a member of the Beaverton Church of God. She attended Sulligent High School. Mrs. Sandlin worked for Health-Tex in Guin, McCoy Manufacturing in Sulligent and Hatley and at Reltoc in Winfield. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Coy Sandlin, brother, Keith Herron and one granddaughter. She is survived by her husband, Tom Sandlin, of Sulligent; brother, Marcus Herron, of Vernon, Ala.; daughters, Marcie Pierce and Mytina Salone, both of Smithville and Michelle Vance, of Sulligent; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
