Dustin Wayne White, 28, of Caledonia, MS passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation was Saturday, November 3, 2012, from 12-2 pm at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services followed at 2 pm in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Don Harding officiating, Eric Bounds and Chase Conner assisting. Interment was in Butler Cemetery, Noxubee County, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mr. White was born July 13, 1984, in Meridian, MS. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Macon, MS. Mr. White worked at The Commercial Dispatch newspaper in the Accounting Department. He graduated in 2002 from Central Academy as the Valedictorian and Senior Class President. Mr. White graduated in 2004 from EMCC and continued his education at the University of Mississippi Oxford Campus and MUW, Columbus, MS. He was a member of Phi Thetta Kappa Honor Society. Mr. White was a very humble, respectful and loving young man who cherished those he loved. He will always be remembered for those wonderful qualities and his sweet smile. Mr. White also enjoyed being with family and friends, loved horses, his dog “Cocoa” and was always interested in antique automobiles and history, especially historical places. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Johnnie B. and Flora Grace White of Shuqualak, MS. Mr. White is survived by his beautiful little daughter, who inherited her Dad’s beautiful brown eyes; his parents, Wayne and Debbie White of Caledonia, MS; brother, Tony White, Hattiesburg, MS; maternal grandparents, Roy and Maxine Butler of Caledonia, MS; aunts and uncles, Eric and Phyllis Bounds of Steens, Warren and Tammy Conner of Caledonia, MS, Joy Sims of Caledonia, MS, Wesley and Bobbie White of Starkville, MS, and Jule and Evelyn White of Louisville, MS; nieces, Kaileigh and Samanatha White of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and nephew, Bryar Grayson White of Hattiesburg, MS. He is also survived by a host of special cousins and his soul mate and friend since kindergarten, Paula Hummer of Starkville, MS. Pallbearers were Dale Conner, Chase Conner, Bradley White, Lee Smith, Chad Britt and Bryron McNair.
