OKTIBBEHA COUNTY– Dosie Lee Taylor Hawkins, 87, died on June 9, 2009, at Oktibbeha County Hospital. Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Light Methodist Church in Starkville with the Rev. Eddie Hinton. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is today from 1-4 p.m. at Century Hairston Funeral Home Chapel in Columbus. Mrs. Hawkins was born May 22, 1922, to the late Zeola Thompson Taylor and Frank Taylor. She was a member of New Light Methodist Church. She is survived by daughters, Alma Hawkins, Mary Ann Clayton and Kittie White; sons, Robert, Sammie, Tommie and Jimmie Hawkins; sister, Frankie Mae Rice and Parania Collago; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
