Dorothy Frances Brown Henderson of Brandon, MS — whose lifetime of service touched countless lives and whose sweet spirit was beloved by family, friends, and widespread community — went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2023. She was 80.
She is preceded in death by her parents, the late Myles and Ruth Brown.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Dr. Gene Henderson of Brandon, MS; her brother, Bobby Brown (Liz) of Carrolton, GA; her children, Gina Henderson Palasini of Nashville, TN, Page Henderson Hughes (Les) of Alabaster, AL, Justice Dawn Henderson Beam (Stephen) of Sumrall, MS, Dr. Chip Henderson (Christy) of Flowood, MS, and Hope Henderson Davis (Bradly) of Brandon; her grandchildren, Madison Palasini, Maci Palasini, and Joshua Palasini of Nashville, TN, Michael Palasini (Peyton) of Leland, MS, Dr. Kyle Hughes (Lacey) of Hartford, AL, Caleb Hughes (Brooke) of Meridian, MS, Gene’ Hughes Mastellar (Zach) of Nashville, TN, Luke Hughes (Lily) of Wake Forest, NC, Will Newman (Snow) of Alexandria, VA, Sam Newman (Taylor) of Ocean Springs, MS, Matthew Beam of Fairfax County, VA, Jason Beam of Cypress, TX, and Amy Beam of Austin, Texas, Rachel Henderson Parnell (Todd) of Dallas, TX , McKenzie Henderson Miskelly (Franklin) of Starkville, MS, and Jon Regan Henderson of Flowood, MS, and Benjamin Davis of Brandon, MS; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Ron Cannon, J.W. Dappen, George Gilreath, Pat Guest, Dan Martin. Steve Rives. Barney Tanner. Tommy Thrash, and Joe Usry.
The visitation will be on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Pinelake Church, 6071 MS-25, Brandon, MS, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Pinelake Church 6071 MS-25, Brandon, MS at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Second Line Parade and burial at Crestview Memorial Gardens, 1106 Star Road, Brandon, MS.
