ABERDEEN –Doris Haney Tate, 59, died May 10, 2009, at her residence. Services are Thursday at 3 p.m. at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes and Bro. Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Haughton Memorial Park. Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. and will continue until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Tate was born May 6, 1950, in Monroe County to the late James D. and Mavis Miller Haney. She was a lifelong resident of Monroe County and a homemaker. She was a member of the Rocky Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy D. Tate of Aberdeen; sons, Dwight Tate of Hamilton and Chris Tate of Aberdeen; brother, Eugene Haney of Amory; sister, Judy Spencer of Fulton; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dirk Lucas, Dennis Thompson, Danny Parham, Ken Griffin, Brad Brewer and Danny Worthey. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association, P.O. Box 2178, Ridgeland, MS 39158.
