TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Doris Hargrove, 91, died May 13, 2009, at Druid City Hospital-Tuscaloosa. Services are Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home in Columbus with the Rev. Ron McDougal officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation is Saturday for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Mrs. Hargrove was born Oct. 9, 1917, in Hattiesburg to the late Frank Sexton and Louise Byrd Glenn. She was a resident of Pine Valley Independent Living of Tuscaloosa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Hargrove Dove. She is survived by her husband, Allen S. Hargrove Jr. of Tuscaloosa; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Riggie and Allen Dove, Chad Dehner, Sam Moss and Bob and Geoff Glenn.
