SULLIGENT, Ala. — Doris Jean Flynn, 67, died May 7, 2010, at her residence. Services are today at 3 p.m. at Mulberry Springs Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church from 2 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow in the Gilmore Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery. Mrs. Flynn was born Nov. 20, 1942, in Lamar County, Ala., to the late Edgar R. and Maudeen Stark Hanson. She was a member of Mulberry Springs Baptist Church, where she was a member of the WMU. She was a graduate of Hamilton High School and Vaughn Beauty College in Aberdeen. She was a beautician at the Care Center of Vernon and also owned and operated Curl and Swirl Beauty Salon from 1965-1972. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Clarence Webb. She is survived by her husband, Rolland Flynn, of Sulligent; daughters, Alanna Fylnn Parham, of Tupelo, and Marla Flynn Serena, of Hamilton; and two grandchildren.
