WEST POINT — Dora Jeanan “Jean” Poss, 71, died July 6, 2009, at her residence. Services are Wednesday at 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Doug Goodman officiating. The body will be at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home. Mrs. Poss was born in Monroe County on Aug. 24, 1937, to the late Hulon and Lena Knight. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in West Point. She was a tax examiner for the Internal Revenue Service. She was also a member of the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Charles Morris, Johnny Clinton, Norman Ray and Harold Kenneth Knight. She is survived by her son, David Dewayne Poss, of West Point; daughters, Lainie Adams, of Pleasantview, Utah, Donna Colburn, of Aberdeen, and Deborah Myers, of Cedar Bluff; and nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Darrell Myers, Roger and Randy Colburn, Frankie Puckett, Lee Keenum and Robbe Robinson.
