Don Boman

SULLIGENT — Don G. Boman, 68, died Sept. 1, 2022, at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, Alabama.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Sulligent Church of God with Daniel Phillips and Scott Stokes officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Pisgah cemetery. Visitation was held at the church one hour prior to services. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boman was born Dec. 4 1953, in Vernon, Alabama, to the late Curtis Boman and the late Lois Thompson. He was a graduate of Lamar County High School. He was formerly employed at West AL Ford, formerly Maddox Motor Co. and most recently at Ogden Management.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Perry Boman and Wade Boman.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Boman, of Sulligent; sons, Curtis Boman of Detroit, Alabama, Shane Boman of Sulligent; stepson, Brian Melson, of Hamilton, Alabama; stepdaughters, Darnell Blaylock of Beaverton, Alabama, Lori Elliott of Sulligent, Kim McCarley of Athens, Alabama; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
