TUPELO — David McCarty, 70, died March 17, 2021, at North Mississippi Medical Center of Tupelo.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, at Sherman Baptist Church in Sherman, with Parish Hartley and James Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Sherman Cemetery. Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, at Otts Funeral Home and will be from 5-7 p.m. today, at the church. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent, Alabama is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McCarty was born Sept. 17, 1950, in Tupelo, to the late Paul McCarty and Kathleen Stokes. He attended Sherman and East Union Schools. He was formerly employed with Barclary Furniture and was a member of Sherman Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Lucas McCarty; children, Brian McCarty and Jason McCarty both of Tupelo; siblings, Robert Dillar, Mike McCarty and Kathy Kelly all of Tupelo; and four grandchildren.
