NOXUBEE COUNTY — Darnell “Mickey C” Welch, 52, 2022, in Columbus.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Tabernacle M.B. Church in Macon, with Carl Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-5 p.m. today, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Welch was born June 17, 1970, in Noxubee County, to Carol Marie Bankhead Welch and the late Willie Charles Welch. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Dillion Welch.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Darnell Williams of New Jersey, Darnell Welch Jr. of Brooksville, Teion Brown and Quincy Welch, both of Columbus; siblings, Yolanda Welch, Lenore Welch, both of Macon and Willie Welch of Columbus; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mario Robinson, Travis Glass, Charles Johnson, Willie C. Welch III, Tevorkis Welch and Rudy Welch.
