SULLIGENT, Ala. — James Clifton “Cliff” Merchant, 23, died Sept. 16, 2016, in Detroit, Alabama. Services are at 2 p.m. today at Otts Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Merchant was born July 4, 1993, to Diane Stuckey and James Merchant. He attended Sulligent Schools and Sulligent First Baptist Church. He was employed with Ken’s Auto Sales in Amory. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Ansley Clair Merchant of Detroit; brother, James Tol “J.T.” Hankins of Vernon, Alabama; and sisters, Jessica Merchant of Sulligent and Courtney McBunch of Nettleton.
