GORDO, Ala. — Clarence Albert Nickoles, 84, died April 22, 2010, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Double Branch Baptist Church with the Revs. John Williams and Chris McCool officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the church service. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform, Ala., is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Nuckoles was born Nov. 24, 1925, in Pickens County, Ala., to the late Walter Nickoles and Icie Mae Deason Nickoles. He retired from Coca Cola Bottling Co. after 30 years and was an employee at the Ralph Junkin Farm and a World War II veteran. He is survived by his wife, Earline James Nickoles, of Gordo; daughter, Shirley Huff, of Fayette, Ala.; son, Eddie Nuckoles, of Birmingham, Ala.; brother, William Nuckoles, of Tuscaloosa; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Junkin, Odis Nickoles, Ralph Junkin Jr., Len Holliman, Terry Turner and Roger Parker.
