MACON – Charles Lee Green, 79, died Dec. 29, 2020, at his residence. Graveside services were held Wednesday, at Cooksville Cemetery, with Steve Galloway officiating. Cockrell Funeral home of Macon is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Green was born July 31, 1941, in Louisville, to the late Thomas Elmer and Lucy Isabelle Fraley Green. He was a graduate of Macon High School and attended East Mississippi Junior College and Mississippi State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army . He was formerly employed in the commercial credit field, as a salesman with Carter Equipment Company, as owner of an auto body repair shop, with Waters Truck and Tractor, and in the logging equipment business. He was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Thomas Elmer Green and Charlene Green Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Clara W. Green; children, Kimberly Moore of Macon and Lee Green of Ocean Springs; sister, Ibby Morris of Oxford; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
