Charles Dewey Bush, age 65, of Steens, MS, passed away August 20, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Graveside services will be Thursday, August 23, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Lone Oak Cemetery in Steens with Rex Kilpatrick officiating and Elbert Wheat assisting. Visitation will be Thursday, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, at Lone Oak Church of Christ. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory College St. location is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bush was born June 8, 1953, in Starkville, MS, to the late Luther E. and Sylvia Miller Bush, Sr. He owned and operated Bush’s Service Center in Columbus for many years and also worked at Mini Motors in Steens. Mr. Bush was a member of the Caledonia Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Faye Forrester Bush of Steens, MS; son, Michael Bush and his wife, Carla of Steens, MS; brothers, Henry Bush and his wife, Jeanette of Sulligent, AL, Luther Bush, Jr. and his wife, Shelia of Columbus, MS, and Perry Bush and his wife, Nancy of Steens, MS; sisters, Ella Mae Vaughan of Steens, MS and Christine Anderson and her husband, Bobby of Columbus, MS; and grandchildren, Sarah Bush, Jason Bush, Brantley Bush and Paisley Bush. Pallbearers will be Don Pierce, Jerry Pierce, Greg Wheat, Ben Kilgore, Brian Rizzuto and Marty Pennington. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Bell, Phillip Atkins, Mike Stallings, Johnny Phillips, Jerry Reynolds, George Corbell, Mayo Whitten, Randall Flippo, Terry Spencer, Mark Stokes, Johnny Stokes and Willie Smith.
