BEAVERTON, Ala. — Charles Douglas Browning, 76, died Aug. 30, 2018, at NWMC in Winfield, Alabama. Services were Saturday at the chapel of Otts Funeral Home in Sulligent, Alabama, with Mitch Nethery and Carlyle Noe officiating. Burial followed at Beaverton Cemetery. Mr. Browning was born June 23, 1942, in Reform, Alabama, to the late Charles Waldo Browning and Odell Hannah. He attended high school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was of the Baptist faith. He formerly ran a gas station and worked as a mechanic. He also worked as a small business owner and as a salesman. He had previously owned and operated Sulligent Handy Mart as well as a business in Beaverton. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Stanley Browning of Beaverton; daughters, Teresa Beam of Amory, Paulette Minor of Sulligent and Cathy Browning Myers of Ozark, Missouri; brother, Larry Browning of Beaverton; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jason Browning, Frankie Guyton, Kerry White, Wade Scott, David Trentelman and Tim Parsons
