Mildred Catherine “Cat” Honnoll, age 76, died Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Services will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Sullivan Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Monday, August 20, 2012, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Mrs. Honnoll was born on Monday, November 25, 1935, in Monroe County, MS to the late William Galloway and Ada Mae Reeves Scott. She was saved at a young age at DePriest Chapel Church in Gattman. She was a homemaker whose hobbies included, quilting, camping, sewing, gardening, working in her yard, babysitting the many foster children that came into her life, taking trips to the Tennessee mountains and reading books purchased from McKay’s Bookstore in Knoxville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Reginald Honnoll; and her brothers, William Scott, Leon Scott and Alfred Scott. Survivors include her two daughters: Rita (James) Pugh, Caledonia, MS and Tammy (David) Smith, Caledonia, MS; one son: Terry (Mary Margaret) Honnoll, Pelham, AL; one brother: Erie (Geneva) Scott, Gattman, MS; eight grandchildren: Jason Honnoll, Christy Wilder, Taylor Honnoll, Alex Pugh, Kayla Pugh, Jared Pugh, Sage Smith and Timothy Smith; and one great-grandchild: Jillian Honnoll The pallbearers will be Jason Honnoll, Alex Pugh, Jared Pugh, Sage Smith, Timothy Smith and Daniel Wilder. The honorary pallbearers will be DeWayne Owen, Frank Brock, Allen Morton, Danny Stevenson, Walcie Porter, William Earl Hannah and Sidney Thompson.
