COLUMBUS — Carl Rice Jr., 74, died.
Graveside services are at 2 p.m. today, at Pooles Cemetery in West Point. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rice was born June 11, 1948, in Macon, to the late Carl Sr. and Lillie Lee Rice.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Danny Joe Rice, Roosevelt Rive, Willie James Rice, Michael Anthony Rice, Bobby Rice and Thomas Nelson Rice; sisters, Carleen Rice Brownlee, Brenda Kaye and Sylvia Rice Sain and Pennie Louise Rice.
He is survived by his son, Michael Henderson of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters, Lillian Rice of Teas, Cardea Rice of California and a daughter of West Point; sisters, Eve-Iena Rice Martin of Aberdeen, Annie Mae Rice-Grady, Mary Helen Rice-Summerall of West Point, Rev. Linda Faye Dion of Columbus; brothers, Julius Rice of Columbus and Leroy Rice of Macon, Georgia.
