TUPELO — William Burnell Hollingsworth Jr., 75, died Oct. 11, 2012, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville. Graveside services are Monday at 2 p.m. at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery with Bro. David Smith officiating. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hollingsworth was born Nov. 3, 1936, in Baton Rouge, La., to the late William Burnell Hollingsworth Sr. and Lacy Leone Baker Hollingsworth. He was a graduate of Amite High School in Amite, La., Southeastern College in Hammon, La., and Moellar Barber College in New Orleans, La. He lived most of his life in Aberdeen before moving to Tupelo. He was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church and worked as a barber for City Barber Shop in Aberdeen. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Walters Hollingsworth of Tupelo; daughters, Pamela Hollingsworth and Penny Hollingsworth, both of Dallas, Texas, and Patsy Whitaker of Tupelo; son, Alan Hollingsworth of Saginaw, Texas; and five grandchildren.
