CARROLLTON, Ala. — Bruce Eugene “Booty” Hickman, 70, died June 16, 2009, at DCH Regional Medical Center, in Tuscaloosa. Services are Friday at 11 a.m. at Carrrollton Baptist Church, with the Rev. Larry Potts officiating. Visitation is tonight from 6-8 p.m. at the Skelton Funeral Home, of Reform. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Marvin Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Hickman was born Feb. 28, 1939, in Reform, Ala., to the late Samuel E. Hickman and Mary Ruth Edgeworth Hickman. He was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church, a retired mechanic for Gordo Motor Co., a veteran of the U.S. National Guard and a life long resident of Pickens County. Mr. Hickman is survived by his wife, Sue Hickman, of Carrrollton, Ala.; daughter, Donna Hickman Nance, of Carrollton.; sons, Don and Perry Hickman, both of Carrollton, and Tim Hickman, of Gordo, Ala.; sisters, Virginia Lee, of Columbus, Nell Jacobs, of Pascagoula, and Muriel Pearson, of Aliceville, Ala.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Will Nance, Josh Hickman, Shane Nance, Jimmy Phelps, Sonny Noland and David Cameron.
