Brenda Elaine Thompson, 55, died April 12, 2009, in Denver. Services are Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Palestine Methodist Church in Montpelier with the Rev. Cary Sutphin officiating. Burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home. Ms. Thompson was born Jan. 1, 1954, in West Point to the late Wayne and Ozella Thompson. She was a nurse and worked for medical facilities in Columbus, Starkville, Gulfport, Tupelo and Tampa, Fla. She is survived by her daughter, Corie LaRae Peay, of Denver; sisters, Hilda Love, of Tupelo, and Sharon Berry, of Starkville; and stepson, Butch Peay. Pallbearers will be Butch Peay, Steve White, Jonathan and Mark Barkley. Memorials may be made to the Palestine Cemetery Fund c/o Jim Murry, 18515 Highway 46, Pheba, MS 39755.
