Brenda Dodson Edwards of West Point passed away Saturday May 7, 2022, at NMMC-Tupelo at the age of 78.
She was born October 31, 1943, in Meridian, MS, to the late Leslie and Omera Warren Dodson. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and actively participated in all areas of the music ministry. Brenda was also a member of the MSU Alumni Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, West Point Music Coterie, the Horseshoe Robertson Chapter of the DAR and West Point’s Retired Teachers.
A Celebration of Life will be 11 AM Friday, May 13, 2022, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Funderburg and Rev. Billy Abrams officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be 10-11 AM Friday at the church.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bobby Edwards of West Point; sisters, Debbie Bingham of Lake Mary, FL, Melissa Henry (Joe) of West Point; sister-in-law, Virginia Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.
