SULLIGENT — Brady C. Tidwell, 83, died June 23, 2009, at his home in Detroit. Services were today at 11 a.m. at the Detroit Church of God, where Bro. Aaron Gann and Bro. Terron Gentry officiated. Burial followed at Kingsville Cemetery. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent was in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Tidwell was born on July 29, 1925, in Marion county, Ala. He was a member of the Detroit Church of God. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was the owner of Production Specialist in the oil rig industry for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Emma Burleson Tidwell; brothers, Leburn Tidwell, Vader Tidwell, and Gracie Underwood; sisters, Odie Tidwell and Ola Carter. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Tidwell, of Detroit, Ala; sister, Hattie Harrison, of Sulligent, Ala.; daughters, Wanda Stanford and Janine Overton, both of Detroit, Ala.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Johnny Stanford, Jeff Overton, Tony Saine, Shannon Cranford, Jerry and Heath Hanratty, Josh Harris and Brantley and Tommy Gann.
