Mr. Bobby Rafton Vail, 84, of Millport AL, passed away on Friday January 18, 2019, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham Alabama. It is with great sadness that the family of Bobby Rafton Vail announces his passing, after a brief illness on Friday, January 18, 2019, at the age of 84 years old. Mr. Bobby Vail will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Robbie Dean of 63 years and his daughters, Belinda Hancock (Ray) and Teresa Thomas (Tyrone), five grandchildren, Chad Hancock, Holly Reeves, Ramie Fletcher, Anna Tate and Abby Shaw, eight great-grandchildren, Avery, Parker and Tucker Hancock, Sadie and Case Reeves, Fisher Godfrey and Finley Fletcher and Briggs Shaw. Preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Francis Elmo & Cara Lee Holliman Vail, daughter, Gail and grandson Tyler, four brothers and one sister. Born on November 4, 1934 to the late Mr. Francis Elmo Vail and Mrs. Cara Lee Holliman Vail, he was the youngest of seven children. Morris, Wilda, Wilford, Hill, James and twin brother, Billy. He was life long resident of Millport, AL and a member of Springhill Baptist Church. Mr. Bobby Vail was employed by Seminole Mfg. for 42 years. After retirement, he continued working for Regal Cleaners. Mr. Bobby was a devoted family man. He loved gardening, spending time with his family and watching Alabama Football. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Springhill Baptist Church. The visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday , January 21, 2019, at Springhill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chad Hancock, Avery Hancock, Bobby Reeves, Fisher Godfrey, Tyler Tate, Mike Vail and Justin Shaw.
