Joseph Robert “Bobby” LaFarge, 76 of Hillsboro, Oregon, previously of Columbus, Mississippi, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010. A celebration of life will be held Friday, March 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Westmoreland officiating. Mr. LaFarge was born November 3, 1933 to the late Arnold Xavier LaFarge and Mary Long LaFarge. He graduated from S.D. Lee High School, was a member of the marching band and wore jersey no. 66 on their football team. He attended Mississippi State University. Mr. LaFarge served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. He was employed with the U.S. Postal Service. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife – Betty Adams LaFarge and sister – Isabel LaFarge Price. Mr. LaFarge is survived by his son – Joseph Robert LaFarge, Jr., Huntsville, Alabama; daughter – Angela LaFarge Blizzard, Hillsboro, Oregon; brother – Arnold LaFarge, Loveland, Ohio; grandchildren – Trevor David Blizzard, Eden Kate Blizzard, Hillsboro, Oregon and Kimberly Young, John Young, Huntsville, Alabama.
