BROOKSVILLE — William “Bill” Giesbrecht, 88, died July 14, 2021.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, at Brooksville Mennonite Church, with Gladwin Koehn, Larry Giesbrecht, Kendall Jost, and Devonn Miller officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Giesbrecht was born Feb. 18, 1933, in Montezuma, Kansas, to the late George W. and Mary Voth Giesbrecht. He was educated in the Montezuma Public School System. He was formerly employed in the mechanic field. He was a member of the Brooksville Mennonite Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Darren; six brothers; and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Betty June Koehn Giesbrecht of Macon; children, Rona and Richard Koehn of Brooksville, Trinda and James Wells of West Point, Phillip and Sondra Giesbrecht of Macon, Kayla and Travis Warkentin of Ste. Anne, Manitoba, and Mervin Koehn of Fairview, Oklahoma; brothers, Arnold, Stan, and Doug of Brooksville, and Ronald of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sisters, Bonnie Decker, Margaret Classen, and Phoebe of Brooksville, and Mary Alice Dirks of Montezuma, Kansas; 24 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
