Beverly The Pie Lady Moore

Beverly Jeanette Havens Moore, 83, of Millport, AL, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at her residence. A graveside service was held Saturday, January 2, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Friendship Cemetery, Millport, AL, with Bro. Jammie Turner officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Moore was born March 13, 1937, to the late Percy James and Dorothy Sue Jewell Havens, in White Lake Township, MI, and moved to Millport in 1984 from Montrose, MI. She was a member of Asbury Community Church, Millport, AL, and enjoyed going to the Country Junction. Mrs. Moore was known as “The Pie Lady” for her fried pies that she sold to many retail outlets. She also loved working in her yard especially with her flowers. Mrs. Moore worked for 15 years as a seamstress at Vernon Garment Plant. Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Richard) Yee, Roseville, MI, Debbie Hughes, Millport, AL, and Norma Johnson, Springhill, TN; son, Russell (Sandy) Hughes, Columbus, MS; brother, Bruce (LaQuita) Havens, Louisville, KY; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; 1 great-great-grandchild and another one on the way; boyfriend, Jimmy Barham and his great-granddaughter, Michaela; sister in law, June Havens, Pontiac, MI and her special canine companion, Daisy.
